I COME IN WINTER

The village-resort of La Giettaz enjoys a privileged location in the Val d'Arly, in the heart of the French Alps. Connected to the Portes du Mont Blanc ski area (La Giettaz, Combloux, Megève Jaillet) [Piste map] open from 17/12/2022 to 26/03/2023 and Evasion Mont Blanc (Portes du Mont Blanc + Megève, Saint Gervais and Les Contamines), the Plan de La Giettaz ski resort is a paradise for snow lovers and offers breathtaking views of Mont-Blanc and the Aravis range.

Here nature is the showpoiece of the setting and it is in all serenity that one can contemplate it while skiing, hiking, during a ride on a Moonbike or while hiking snowshoes. A musher is also settled in Le Plan facing the ski lifts for an initiation to dog sled.

Several restaurants welcome holidaymakers on the ski slopes of La Giettaz ski area (Auberge de Bonjournal, La Girafe, Foodtruck 1930) but also in the hamlet of Le Plan (La Datcha) or in the center of the village.

The ski pass counters and the ski school offices are located in the snow-front car park at the foot of Le Plan ski lifts, 1.5 km from the Philomena chalet.

Note: several  adult pairs and 2 children pairs of snowshoes are available to holidaymakers during their stay at Chalet Philomena.
