Winter access and parking at Chalet Philomena

Two bins of recycling are located under the kitchen sink. Thanks for only deposit recyclables. 

Recyclables and household waste bags should be deposited in thecommunal containers; the closest are located in the Plan car park at the entrance to the hamlet.

Above all, do not put garbage bags outside the chalet, even for a few hours, because forest animals (foxes, weasels, mice, etc.) would tear them up and spread the garbage everywhere.

Note: no composting at the chalet

We give you 2 chalet keys and 1 ski room key on your arrival as well as the code for the key box located in the entrance hall.

This key box allows a group of 12 people to do activities separately during the day without being bothered by the management of the keys and above all avoids losing the keys.

The chalet is supplied with stream water which is disinfected by UV lamp and therefore suitable for consumption (for babies and young children, however, we advise you to buy bottles of mineral water). The pump that supplies the chalet with water is located in the ski room behind the wooden wall. The circuit breaker that controls it is located just above (call us if it breaks, we will explain the procedure to access it and put it back into operation, see button circled in red in the photo above).

The chalet is "all electric" (heating and domestic appliances). 

A circuit breaker is located in the ski room to control the 2 hot water tanks as well as the water pump (see § Water).

A second circuit breaker controls all the rest of the chalet's electrical equipment (radiators, lamps, kitchen, electrical outlets, etc.) and is located in the utility room, next to the medicine cabinet.

A few new bulbs and batteries are stored to the right of the safe in the hall closet. Please deposit the used batteries that you have changed in the container provided for this purpose.

All the living-dining room lamps are controlled by the two small switches located on the post of the stairs (photo above).

the large ceiling light is controlled (back and forth) by the large switch on the post of the stairs (photo above) and by a switch located at the bottom of the stairs.

the main living room ceiling light is controlled by the left switch hidden behind the dining room's left curtain. The switch on the right hidden behind the curtain controls the balcony lighting.

The terraces are controlled by a switch located on the wall of the chalet, the lighting of the passageway leading to the terraces is controlled by a switch located to the right of the rear door.

The switch of thepantryof the kitchen is "hidden" behind the Nespresso coffee maker.

The switch of the bedroom 5 showeris "hidden" behind the towel rail.

Finally, the lamps located in the TV corner are not centralized and light up one by one (except for the wall lamp located above the DVDs which is centralized with the lamps in the living-dining room (switch on the stair post).

If you use the fireplace, please empty your ashes into the zinc bin placed outside at the back of the chalet.

It is forbidden to smoke inside the chalet. If you wish to smoke outside, please use the ashtrays available on the laundry room shelf or the one placed on the balcony. Please do not throw (or hide under stones) your cigarette butts outside, many "wild" animals (deer, hinds, etc.) come to graze around the chalet).

A Bose channel is available in the library area.

You can use your phone to listen to your favorite playlists in two ways:

- by placing it on the base (photo above) and positioning the Bose station on the "TV" source

- by pairing your phone via Bluetooth with the system using the Logitech box located behind the Bose base placed on the speaker (click on the button on the Logitehc box to start pairing) then choose the "AUX" source on the Bose station.

All the instructions (French/English) for household appliances are printed in a magazine holder placed in one of the kitchen drawers.

The raclette and fondue appliances are stored in the laundry room as well as a waffle maker and the "classic" electric coffee maker for ground coffee.

We thank you for agreeing to "launch" the programs of the dishwasher and washing machine/dryer, preferably during so-called "off-peak" hours (8:00 pm - 4:00 am).

Each bathroom is equipped with a hair dryer (4 in total).
